曽野綾子を悼む　大人の信仰


　曽野綾子がなくなった。彼女の本に出会わなかったら私は、洗礼も受けなかった。受け身で生きることの大切さ、大人の言葉と行いとは何か
を学んだ。ローマ帝国各地を巡り、ユダヤ教の枠組みを超え異民族に宣教し牢獄に入り、宣教を続けたパウロに、その生き方を学んだ。

　苦難の中で受け入れて、生きる姿勢を学んだ。私は洗礼名をパウロにしたのは曾野綾子の本のおかげ。苦難が受難でなくなるその時を味わえる時間を味わいながら、私は、曽野綾子を悼む

Mourning Ayako Sono: The Faith of an Adult
Ayako Sono has passed away. If I had never encountered her books, I would not have received baptism. She taught me the importance of living with acceptance, the meaning of adult words and actions. I learned from Paul, who traveled across the Roman Empire, preached beyond the framework of Judaism to different ethnic groups, was imprisoned, and continued his mission.

She taught me the attitude of accepting hardship and living through it. It was because of Ayako Sono’s books that I chose the baptismal name Paul. As I embrace the time when suffering is no longer mere affliction, I mourn Ayako Sono.
