踏みとどまることを選ぶ　小さな変化を

　できなかったことが自分の意志で踏みとどまることを選ぶことだと思う。
　職場の近くの街を知る。職場の人を知る。基本的な組合活動をする。仕事を深める。今までやってきたことを深めていく。出来そうで出来なかった。無理やり受け入れたふりをしたからだと思う。

　半年前、踏みとどまることを選んだ。逃げ道もなくなり、自分の可能性を自分で潰した。さらに、外的な力で更にひどい場所の追いやられる可能性もある。その責任をこれから負わないといけない。一年以上前、新しい世界をもとめて、失敗して得たものと違う世界を、私は、
見れるそう思う。

Choosing to Hold My Ground: Small Changes

I believe choosing to hold my ground by my own will is what I previously couldn’t do.

Getting to know the neighborhood near my workplace. Getting to know my colleagues. Engaging in basic union activities. Deepening my work. Building upon what I've done so far. I thought I could, yet I couldn't. Perhaps because I pretended to accept things forcibly.

Six months ago, I chose to hold my ground. With nowhere left to escape, I crushed my own possibilities. Now, I also face the risk of being driven to even worse circumstances by external forces. I must accept responsibility for this. Over a year ago, I sought a new world and ended up failing—but now, I feel I can glimpse a different world, one distinct from my past failures.

Getting to know the neighborhood near my workplace. Getting to know my colleagues. Engaging in basic union activities. Deepening my work. Building upon what I've done so far. This time, not just pretending to forcibly accept things. I choose to hold my ground.

Lord, grant me small changes.
