「これからのまちと、わたしたちの暮らし──贅沢よりも、分かちあいへ」

こんにちは。
今日は少しだけ、いつもと違う話をしてみたいと思います。
わたしたちが暮らすこのまちや、遠く離れた国々、そして地球全体のことまで、ゆっくりつながっていると感じるような、そんなお話です。

いま、世界中で「つくりすぎること」が問い直されています。
大量生産、大量消費、余ったものは捨ててしまう。そんな時代が長く続いてきました。けれど、それではもう、地球も、わたしたち自身の暮らしも持たなくなってきているようです。

資本主義や社会主義、共産主義といった「経済の仕組み」は、どれも「たくさん作って、それを分け合う」ことを前提にしています。
でももし、そんなにたくさん作らなくても生きていけるとしたら？
むしろ、作りすぎないことが、未来の暮らしを守ることになるとしたら？
そう考えると、いままで当たり前だったルールが、少しずつ変わりはじめている気がします。

今、わたしたちには「デジタル」という新しい道具があります。
スマートフォン、インターネット、AI。これらは、地域の違いや距離の壁を越えて、必要なものを、必要な人へ、ちょうどよく届けることを助けてくれます。

未来のグローバリズムとは、「一部の国や会社が世界を支配する」ことではなく、地球という家に暮らすみんなが、限られた資源を無駄なく分かち合って生きるための知恵の輪だと思うのです。

たとえば、「贅沢は敵だ」という考え方。
昔の戦時中の標語のように聞こえるかもしれません。けれど、今の意味は少し違います。
贅沢を敵にするのではなく、「無駄をなくすこと」が、誰かの命を救ったり、次の世代にちゃんとした地球を渡すための選択になるのです。

お金も、技術も、時間も、情報も。
できるだけ効率よく、フェアに、みんなで使う。
そんなふうに考えると、「競争」よりも「協力」が大事になるし、「独占」よりも「共有」が美徳になります。

これからの経済は、「誰かが得をするため」ではなく、「みんなが生きのびるため」にあるものへと、形を変えていくでしょう。

AIやテクノロジーは、その大きな助けになります。
でも最後に大切なのは、「どう生きたいか」というわたしたち一人ひとりの選択と、願いだと思うのです。

このまちの未来、そして地球の未来を、わたしたちの手で紡いでいくために。
「作りすぎずに、分かち合う」というやさしい選択肢を、もう一度見つめ直してみませんか？

Today, I’d like to share something a little different—

Right now, the idea of “overproduction” is being questioned across the world.
We’ve lived through an era of mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal.
But that way of living may no longer be sustainable—for the Earth, or for ourselves.

Economic systems like capitalism, socialism, and communism are all built on the idea of producing abundantly and distributing that abundance.
But what if we didn’t need to produce so much?
What if reducing production was the very act that protects our future way of life?

Then perhaps the rules we’ve always accepted are already beginning to shift.

Today, we have a new set of tools: digital technology.
Smartphones, the internet, AI—these can help us deliver exactly what is needed, to the people who need it, across regional and temporal boundaries.

The future of globalization isn't about a few countries or corporations dominating the world.
Instead, I believe it's about creating a circle of shared wisdom,
where everyone who lives on this planet—our shared home—can equitably share finite resources without waste.

For example, consider the phrase “Luxury is the enemy.”
It might sound like a wartime slogan, but today, it carries a different meaning.
It’s not about condemning luxury—
but about making choices that reduce waste, save lives, and pass on a livable planet to future generations.

Money, technology, time, knowledge—
when used efficiently and fairly, they foster cooperation over competition,
sharing over monopolizing,
and community over individualism.

The future economy won’t be about who profits the most—
but about how we can all survive and thrive together.

AI and technology will support that transformation.
But in the end, what matters most is our individual choices and collective desires—
how we want to live.

To shape the future of this town, and of our planet, with our own hands—
let’s revisit the gentle option of “producing less and sharing more.”
