プラネタリウムのワークショップ　

　子ども向けにやりたいと思ったが、時間帯が合わず、大人を相手にすることとなった。四季の星空から、音楽、朗読、アロマ
本の販売とオプションをつけた。物珍しさもあり、最初は好調だった。新しい試み、コラボレーションを図り、地域の中で貢献できる試みも加えた。

　読書会、文学、宗教と絡ませたりしたが、だんだん人か来なくなった。お金の勉強会と絡ませるあたりから、人が集まらなくなった。
ただ寝っ転がってプラネタリウムのワークショップをして、大人向けのプラネタリウムのワークショップを休止した。
　今にしてみれば、参加する人や大人の多様な生活のリズムを把握してなかったのだろう。



　こども食堂プラネタリウムにシフトした。こども食堂プラネタリウムも同じこととが、繰り返された。物珍しさは抜け、視覚的に飽きられ
劇や朗読も一時的なオプションになった。難しい文化的解説はつうじなかかった。まして幼児保育園児には簡単に通じない。

　小学生のレベルに落とすこと、映像のオプションを増やこと。時間を短くすること。神話や星座の基本に戻ることで対応している
が、それぞれの家庭、保育園、学校の事情をくみ取れきれていない

　そして、2年ぶりに大人相手のプラネタリウムのワークショップを企画した。いま改めて思う。人の幸せや暮らしは哲学や制度、数字お金では包み切れない。でもまあ、この試行錯誤を楽しもうと思う。

Planetarium Workshop – Reflections & Next Steps

At first, I wanted to run the planetarium workshop for children, but the scheduling didn’t work out, so I ended up hosting it for adults instead. We offered seasonal night-sky tours mixed with music, live readings, aromas, and a mini bookshop. The novelty drew good crowds at the beginning. I then layered in new collaborations and community-oriented elements.

When I linked the show to book-club style discussions on literature and religion, attendance began to slip. Interest dropped sharply once I wrapped money-management study sessions into the program. Eventually I paused the adult series and kept only the “lie-down and watch the stars” nights. Looking back, I hadn’t really mapped the varied rhythms of adult life.

So I pivoted to a kodomo-shokudō (children’s cafeteria) planetarium. The same pattern repeated: once the novelty faded, the visuals felt stale, and the theater-style readings became a short-lived extra. Dense cultural commentary never landed—certainly not with toddlers and preschoolers.

I tried scaling the content down to an elementary-school level, adding richer visuals, trimming the running time, and returning to basics—mythology and the core constellations—yet I still struggle to fit each family’s, preschool’s, and school’s unique circumstances.

Now, two years later, I’m planning a new adult-focused planetarium workshop. It reminds me that human happiness and everyday living can’t be wrapped up neatly in philosophy, policy, or numbers. Still, I’ll keep enjoying the trial and error.
