火星　大接近

　来年1月　地球に火星が2年ぶりに最接近する。私は長い間火星を見てきた、いや人は長い間火星を見てきた。
その位置を見ながら、天文博士は暦を読み解き、ながら世の中の在り様を読み解き、為政者もそれをもとに様々な重要な判断を下してきた。

　私は火星を見るとそこに生命存在を感じ。いや望んでしまう。いいしれぬ孤独感とともに。それは人類の孤独感と不安なのかもしない。また、地球を外から全体を見れるようになる。夜風にあたりながら。

Mars Close Encounter

Next January, Mars will come closest to Earth for the first time in two years. I have been observing Mars for a long time—no, humanity has been observing Mars for ages.
Astronomers, by tracking its position, have interpreted calendars and the state of the world. Rulers have also made significant decisions based on these observations.

When I look at Mars, I sense the possibility of life there—or perhaps I simply wish for it. An inexplicable loneliness accompanies this feeling. Maybe it reflects the collective loneliness and anxiety of humanity. At the same time, it allows me to see Earth as a whole, from the outside, while standing under the night breeze.
