In the psychiatric ward, medication is being reduced. Through open dialogue, both patients and professionals are rethinking how they view and communicate with one another—sometimes switching roles.

Trauma and addiction are finally being acknowledged. Did these ideas come from encounter groups? Or from Buddhism? With the growing awareness of developmental disorders, the ward feels like flipping through the pages of a living book.

It begins with poverty, alcoholism, substance abuse, then moves through competition stress, social media, AI… endlessly cycling.

Where does the soul come from? Society? History? Capital? God?
As I walk through the ward, the question lingers.
And still, that man appears again.
