復活　神の再臨　沈黙

　信仰を持ってても、いつも信じられるわけではない。神様の存在を信じられなくなる時がある。神の沈黙と言う人も。旧約のバビロン捕囚を
思う。なんと長い沈黙。そして今のイスラエルとパレスチナを思う。気が遠くなる。それでも2000年近くユダヤ人は信仰を失わない

　沈黙の奥に神を見出すということなのだろう。

Resurrection, the Second Coming of God, and silence
Even when we have faith, it doesn’t mean we can always believe.
There are times when we can no longer believe in God’s existence.
Some call this the silence of God.
I think of the Babylonian exile in the Old Testament—
what an unbearably long silence that was.
Then I think of Israel and Palestine today,
and it makes me feel faint.
And yet, for almost two thousand years,
the Jewish people have not lost their faith.
Perhaps it is about discovering God
in the depths of that silence.
