壊れた　音楽スピーカー　聞こえる音

　実家に行き、亡父の大きな音楽スピーカーをいじくる。クラシックを流そうとして、繋げていたプレイヤーが目の前でだんだん電源が繋がらなくなり聞こえなくなる。

　父の取っていた日本経済新聞が今も配達され、それをめくったあと、母と病気の話、老人ホームの話をし、帰途につく。実家の建物を見ながら。場所は、誰が住むことになるのだろうと思う。自分だろうか、息子だろうか。それとも他人だろうか。

　家に帰り、金融雑誌をめくる。投資のポイントを確認する。日本の経済成長率、実質賃金、正規非正規の待遇、年金の給付法の選択、AIの金融管理コンサルの可能性の記事を読み解いていく。去年末から確認自分の金融資産の状況、家族の仕事の状況と被せながら、想いを馳せる。

　自分と直接もう関係ない福祉の分野の話は、母や子供の将来と被る。横ぐしでつながるように経済や投資、ＡＩを通じて、自分の親と家族と繋がる。そのつながりは外に広がる。

Broken Music Speaker — A Sound I Can Still Hear

I go to my parents’ house and fiddle with my late father’s large music speakers. I try to play some classical music, but the player I had connected begins—right in front of my eyes—to lose power little by little, until the electricity no longer reaches it and the sound disappears.

The Nikkei my father used to subscribe to is still being delivered. After flipping through it, I talk with my mother about illness and about nursing homes, and then I set off for home. As I look at the family house, I wonder who will end up living there. Me? My son? Or someone else entirely?

Back home, I open a financial magazine. I review the key points for investing. I read through articles about Japan’s economic growth rate, real wages, the gap in treatment between regular and non-regular workers, choices in pension benefit systems, and the potential of AI-based financial management consulting. I layer these over what I’ve been checking since the end of last year—my own financial assets, my family’s work situation—and let my thoughts drift.

Even the welfare field, which no longer directly involves me, overlaps with my mother’s future and my children’s future. As if threaded sideways through everything, economics, investing, and AI connect me back to my parents and to my family. And that connection spreads outward.
